The export and slaughter markets were noticeably cheaper today with cows and bulls selling to an easier trend. A very good run of full mouth bullocks came to hand and sold from 340-370c/kg. Overall heavy kill cattle were down 20-30c on last week’s market.
Feeder steers and heifers sold to similar rates as last week with the lesser quality cattle selling to a much cheaper market.
Some good quality lines of weaners and re-stockers were sold today and with a full panel of buyers in attendance, they continue to hold firm on previous week’s prices.
