THIRD SILVERDALE ANNUAL WEANER SALE – MARKET REPORT
Saturday 21st June 2025 – 1746 Head
Another high-quality yarding of 1,746 locally bred weaners from the Brisbane Valley, Fassifern Valley, and Gatton Valley was on offer at the 3rd Silverdale Weaner Sale on Saturday 21st June. The market for steers remained firm compared to the previous weaner sale, with some pens achieving stronger prices due to consistent support from repeat buyers. Heifers carrying weight and appealing to local domestic backgrounders also held firm. However, less quality cattle saw a slight easing in prices, largely attributed to the impact of recent frosts.
The next Silverdale Weaner Sale will be held on the Saturday 15th August 2025.
