FRIDAY 21ST FEBRUARY 2025 - 495 HEAD

With the excellent rainfalls in the past few weeks around the area, Nebo combined agents yarded 495 head for the first sale of 2025, consisting of 125 Steers, 193 Heifers, 171 Cows, 4 Cows & Calves & 2 Bulls. Most of the cattle were sourced from the Nebo & Mackay Region. Having a good quality line of prime cows on offer saw strong competition throughout. Light feeder and weaner steers eased slightly only due to less numbers. However, the market was met with strong competition throughout the feeder heifers with a good quality line of locally sourced milk & 2 tooth heifers on offer.

HIGHLIGHTS

Muggera, Nebo sold a great run of prime Belmont Red cows topping at 300c/kg, weighing 565kg to return $1,697/hd with the run averaging 284c/kg, weighing 543kg and returning $1,547/hd

WH9 Grazing, Nebo sold a VGQ run of Brangus Feeder heifers topping at 296c/kg, weighing 360kg to return $1,067/hd and Brahman Heifers topping at 292c/kg, weighing 362kg to return $1,058/hd.

Bullrush Pastoral, Coppabella sold Friesian House cow & calf for $1,620/unit.
