RECORDS SMASHED AT SILVERDALE WEANER SALE
A top-quality yarding of 1120 at our Annual Silverdale Weaner Sale, the first Weaner Sale for 2021, but a second will follow. Cattle were drawn from the Fassifern, Lockyer and Brisbane Valleys.
The market was extremely strong with buyers coming from Glen Innes, Inverell, Wandoan, Tambo, Taroom and Dalby, as well as all the local buyers. Many buyers went home empty handed as prices exceeded vendors’ expectations. 73% of the yarding went into clean country.

• D & F Morrison sold Charbray steers for $1830 and $1540, with heifers making $1270.
• DN & LM Johnson sold their usual top-quality lines of Charbray weaners with the steers averaging $1561, and the heifers averaging $1323. Johnson won the Champion pen of steers which returned $1805, and the Champion pen of heifers which returned $1580.
• The Buhle family sold Charbray weaner steers for $1700.
• SJ & IJ Moffatt sold Brahman weaner steers for $1680, and heifers for $1290.
• Surawski Farming sold Charbray weaner steers for $1680, $1560 and $1500.
• Warrill Creek Cattle sold Charbray weaner steers for $1640 and $1360, and heifers for $1210.
• Wendy Callinan sold Santa weaner steers for $1740 and $1570, with Charbray weaner steers selling for $1600, $1570 and $1440.
• DA & RE Gnech sold Brangus weaner steers for $1740, and heifers for $1300.
• Jenoff Pty Ltd sold Charbray weaner steers for $1690 and $1630, with heifers selling for $1220.
• Rodney Kanofski sold Charbray weaner steers for $1660 and $1510. They also sold heifers for $1190.
• KJ & TL O’Reilly sold Charolais weaner steers for $1520 and $1360, with heifers making $1260 and $1140.
• TJ & KP Turner sold Angus weaner steers for $1600 and $1470.
• The Bernitt Family sold Charbray weaner steers for $1590, and heifers for $1240.
