Hayes and Co is a vibrant and growing business in the beautiful Scenic Rim of Queensland. Managing director Peter Hayes is pleased to announce the appointment of locals Jacob Gaske and Richard Murphy to the Hayes and Co sales team.
You may have seen Jacob Gaske around in the past, as he has been working as a casual for Hayes and Co for a little over a year now. Peter has been impressed with Jacobs work ethic, knowledge of cattle and skill set and has offered Jacob a position in the company as a Livestock Sales Agent.
Jacob is currently studying toward gaining his auctioneers licence with Hayes and Co. He is also a fully qualified farrier and contract musterer. Jacob is local to Boonah, and you may see him around at Camp drafting and Cutting events.
Richard Murphy’s family have been in the Mount Walker district for over 120 years. Richard spent 9 years in Northern NSW as a cattle buyer for Bindaree Beef and On Plant Livestock Manager, before relocating back to the family farm with his wife Rebecca, to raise their three young children.
Richard has excellent knowledge across all cattle categories from Weaners and Backgrounders, Feeders, Trade and Slaughter cattle as well as Bulls and Breeders. As a fully licenced agent he will also be working with clients in the Rural and Residential Property sector.
Peter is a big believer in providing jobs for locals and investing in training. He see’s potential in both Jacob and Richard and is sure that Hayes and Co clients will benefit from them joining the team.
