Hayes & Co yarded 617 head at Silverdale Store Sale on Saturday 10th February 2024. A very high quality yarding saw all descriptions sell to very strong rates. Feeder steers were in short supply but sold for $1600 -$1700/head. Re-stocker & weaner steers were very sort after with travelled buyers competing with local buyers creating the highest price seen this year. Weaner steers topped at $1420 and re-stocker steers topped at $1490.
A quality line-up of cows & calves also sold to a dearer market with the majority going to Central Queensland. G & N Lucasโs Charbray cows & calves topped at $2420, averaging at $2375.
