756 head of cattle yarded this week. The market on the whole was cheaper today due to current world conditions. The export and slaughter market was noticeably cheaper this week, with some cows down by up to 30c/kg. Bulls remained unchanged whilst bullocks also sold to a softer trend. Heavy feeder steers sold to an easier market although the buying competition was in full support. Feeder heifers saw a decrease in price with most heifers selling from $3.60 to $3.80/kg. There was a handful of isolated sales for quality breeder heifers over $4/kg. Backgrounder and weaner steers sold mostly from $4.20 to $4.50, with 1 pen making up to $4.69c/kg. Weaner heifers were also noticeably cheaper with most heifers selling from $3.20 to $3.70.
