A smaller yarding of 678 head this week for the last Silverdale Live Weight Sale of 2025. With processors slowing down for the Christmas break we saw export and slaughter cattle prices ease today by 10-12c/kg. Some good heavy feeder steers yarded which saw some great prices achieved. An outstanding line of top quality backgrounder steers in store condition came to hand and sold to a fully firm market. No change in the feeder heifer market today which remained firm. Weaner steers were in short supply although the cattle on offer sold fully firm.
