SILVERDALE 19TH ANNUAL SHOW & SALE – 28TH FEBRUARY 2025

A big congratulations goes to Coopers Road Properties from Willowbank who took out the honors of Grand Champion Exhibit of the Show with their Limousin cross steer at the highly successful Silverdale 19th Annual Show & Sale on Friday. Coopers Road Properties also took out Reserve Champion Exhibit of the Show with another Limousin cross steer. The Show and Sale attracted a yarding of 497 head.

Other winners included:

• Hodgetrans took out the Senior Champion Female and Junior Champion Female for their Limousin and Charbray heifers
• Mountaindale won the Senior Champion Pen of Females for their pen of Limousin cows
• Jilabri Family Trust took out the Junior Champion Pen of Heifers for their pen of Limousin heifers
• D & R Hohenhaus won both the Senior Champion Pen of Steers and the Jack Hayes Memorial Trophy for their pens of Charbray steers
• Roxborough Ag took out the Junior Champion Pen of Steers for their pen of Hereford cross steers; and
• All Beef Enterprises won the Champion Pen of Feed on Cattle for their pen of 5 or more Charolais cross steers.

This year also saw the introduction of the Prime Beef Cattle – Young Judges Competition which saw a great turn-out from young people in the area. Thank you also to Brian Surawski for taking his time out to judge the competition.
